The most naked words on the planet are: “You just don’t understand me.” I realize that Jesus understands me, and that's what I need more than anything. As long as he does, I can deal with others who don’t.

I hope churches all over the world are packed on Easter, with faithful followers and curious seekers, with the confused and addicted and marginalized and proud. And when they come, I hope we who have already sought and been found can offer grace, lots of grace

Becoming a local church member is about commitment–to Christ, other Christians, and Christ’s cause. When a local church becomes what God dreamed it to be, life becomes outrageously deep and lives become extraordinarily changed.

Christians base their beliefs and behaviors on the Scriptures, thinking they hold God's useful and authoritative word. How do we know our Bible is the original Bible?

Let’s talk about this thing called “salvation.” It's a biblical word, even though it might sound like a churchy word. It's a profound experience, and I want to help everyone receive it.

The Bible isn’t a bunch of lists or wise sayings or statistics. It’s not a collection of do’s and don’ts. It’s a story that was written by human authors led by God to write what would help our lives. But what do we have to do with it first?

What about spiritual growth? Are there core things to do? Absolutely. Let’s make it simple.

We have to interpret the Bible as it's meant to be interpreted. But when interpreted correctly, we find it is true. We have evidence for the Bible's trustworthiness. Lots of it.

Telling people how to be saved is not telling them the gospel. It's challenging to understand salvation, let alone why we should be saved if we haven’t heard the gospel. Let’s clarify.
